The SCL stack actuators include a full-bridge strain sensor for closed-loop control and strain monitoring. The stack actuator is ceramic encapsulated for humidity protection and epoxy coated to insulate the high-voltage wiring and provide mechanical protection. The SCL actuators are ideally matched to the PiezoDrive PDu150CL driver that can be calibrated to an actuator when ordered together. Applications include: Nanopositioning, Microscopy, Precision Machining, Vibration Control, Hydraulic Pumps, Valves, and Optics.

The PiezoDrive SR ring stacks are high performance multilayer actuators with a vacuum compatible polymer coating and a large central aperture. The SR rings stacks are perfectly matched to the range of PiezoDrive amplifiers and driver modules.

Piezoelectric tube scanners are thin cylinders of radially poled piezoelectric material with four external electrodes a continuous internal electrode. When a voltage is applied to one of the external electrodes, the actuator wall expands which causes a vertical contraction and a large lateral deflection of the tube tip. A circumferential electrode can be used for vertical or radial extension and contraction.

Piezoelectric tube scanners are used extensively in scanning probe microscopes and applications such as fiber stretching and beam scanning.

The BA Series are piezoelectric bimorph actuators poled in the parallel configuration. An insulated resin coating is applied to the external surfaces to protect the actuator and to eliminate electrical faults. The BA Series actuators are simple to drive with a PDu100B or PDm200B amplifier module.
